Dedication to frannie krompak
The heart and soul of the phoenix project
The Phoenix Project for Frannie is lovingly and gratefully dedicated to Frannie Krompak, a woman whose life’s work has changed the trajectory of thousands of others.

At 85 years old, Frannie’s legacy is nothing short of extraordinary. As a five-time Hall of Fame basketball coach and a longtime teacher and counselor at Toledo Central Catholic, Frannie has spent decades mentoring young women—on the court, in the classroom, and in life. Her influence has reached far beyond the scoreboard, touching hearts, restoring hope, and inspiring countless women to believe in themselves and rise above their circumstances.
Frannie co-founded The Phoenix Project with the vision of helping women struggling with addiction rebuild their lives, reconnect with their children, and rediscover their worth. Her unshakable faith and unwavering belief in second chances are the cornerstone of this organization. Through every meeting, curriculum, and recovery milestone, Frannie's spirit is present—lifting others with the same fierce love and commitment she’s shown throughout her life.
The Phoenix Project is forever indebted to Frannie’s brave example. Her life reminds us that beyond the pain of addiction, there is the possibility of a powerful rebirth. And with compassion, structure, and support—transformation is not only possible, it’s inevitable.
Thank you, Frannie, for showing us what it means to rise.
